how green…

cliffs of moher

We are back from Ireland and I feel rejuvenated. I would honestly say that I would probably not go back to Ireland though I am glad to have gone. We went from Dublin to Wiklow to Waterford to Killarney to Laoise…passing through many towns along the way. We saw a great (but small) exhibit on John Gilroy who had done ads for Guinness. We drank many a Guinness and each time it tasted different though definitely better than in the pubs in America. We kissed the Blarney stone though I was reluctant to for hygienic reasons, but how could we not when we were standing right in front of it. We got kicked out of the Cliffs of Moher for going far beyond where we were allowed though we were not the only ones. We were on our way out anyway and the walk beyond was well worth it.

Driving around on our own was a great chance for us to do what we wanted and it let us make many unscheduled stops. We saw lots and lots of green, ruins and sheep. There is something to be said about diversity though and Ireland is not a place that is known for it. That’s why it’s so hard to leave New York even though we often talk about moving.
