Labor day weekend just passed and we were in Connecticut spending some time with Justin’s family. It was a beautiful weekend and I will post some pics soon on it. While there, we also visited with his father who was there for the summer. So in honor of that, today’s time travel pic is of Frank in his Air Force uniform from the 70’s.

The thing about blogs for me anyway, is that it’s a place to record and talk about the present. Then it gets archived and becomes part of the past. But what about things that were before the blog? So to help me write more on this blog and to share images from before this blog, I came up with Time Travel Tuesdays. So let’s go back in time and see what we find…
Justin and I love toys. Our apt. is filled with them. Stuffed animals, Hello Kitty Doll Houses, Vinyl Figures and lots of Action figures. Though some toys stay in their boxes, most are out, posed in scenes. I didn’t really have action figures as a kid, except for a She-Ra, Catra and Entrapta figures but Justin grew up with them (like most guys his age). When he was a kid (and well beyond), he would have them in scenes all over the house. So when we moved in together, mmm 4 years ago, it was only natural that every room in the house have an action figure scene. Though we don’t set up scenes as often as we used to (we tend to work on our own things now), it was a lot of fun and they often started out rather spontaneously on the kitchen table like the scene below.
Classic Hanna Barbera Batman on the drums, Robin on keyboard, Blue Falcon as the turntablist, Dino Mutt powering up the speakers, with Space Ghost doing an air show in the back. This was done sometime in the fall of 2005.
